Undefeated by Armada West

Julian Moore is the Cinderella man of the modern era. An undefeated boxer from Scotland, a true story of rags to riches for a man who would sacrifice anything to care for his younger sister. His fights have brought him a long way from home. He's found himself in Boston with the hopes of catapulting himself into the international spotlight - except he hadn't expected to
meet someone like Rhiannon. He may end up losing it all before he's even begun, or will he go on undefeated?

Armada really catches you with this story.  The tale of two kindred spirits meeting and being pulled apart just as soon.  The way their lives are described, the way the story is told has you living with them.  Living THROUGH them.

The characters are easily to follow and you get pulled in right from the start.  You wanna know more, you wanna be them, live what they are going through.  The only problem was....It ended too soon...lol

One minute I was reading, completely caught up in what was going on, needing to know what would happen and suddenly....the end....Now I am left with many questions...There will be more, there has to be more.  I know I for one and gonna be keeping a close on on this series.  There is a big need to know how it ends, and I know this can't be all there is for Julian or Rhiannon, they must go on....

Grim vengeance by Nathan Squiers, DJ Shaw, Christina Worrell and more

Welcome to the Grim Vengeance Anthology, a collection from Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly Publishing featuring tales of cryptic and fury-filled efforts that show just how far one will go when there?s a vengeful vendetta. Revenge? Whether it is for retribution or for retaliation?be it from the guardian or the renegade?the primal urge to enforce a personal sense of justice lies with every being. Neither man nor myth is free of this drive, and the lengths to which they?ll go are vast and astounding and plunge even the purest heart into the darkest depths of depravity. The end result of the violence and mayhem is nothing if not destructive? Nothing if not grim.

This book can only be described as the works of some of the greatest minds in GRIM.
In this book you will find various stories, all morbid, and all working on some basis of revenge, or just plain mean.

You have authors like DJ Shaw, who writes about a woman who learns never to trust a demon in Playing With Demons, and a priest who learns things are NOT always what they seem in Revenge Be a Demon .

You also have a story by Amanda R Browning, about a Cajun girls years of training to avenge her family in That Hoodoo That You Do.

You can also read a story by Michelle Davis which is about a woman who dies at the hands of her bf and comes back in a very unique way to get even in Fighting Monsters.

And of course, who could forget the amazing story of Xander Stryker.  A vampire with a massive head for revenge and an amazing way of displaying it Written by the legendary Dark Prince Nathan Squiers.

Then you can also some amazing poetry by Christina Worrell called Eternal Shapeshifter.

And there is SOO much more.  More revenge, more grimness, and more demons.  You HAVE to pick up this book.  If you love reading about people getting what they deserve and people getting back for sins bestoed upon them, then this is the book for you.

Moonlight by Katie Salidas

Good girls don’t wear fur or fight over men, and they certainly don’t run around naked, howling at the moon. But then, no-one ever called Fallon a good girl.As a human unofficially mated to an Alpha werewolf, Fallon is being pressured to “become”... or be gone. Her mate Aiden, the interim leader of the Olde Town Pack, is in a position that demands he either choose a wolf mate or leave the pack forever. No matter how hot the sex with Fallon is, he can’t ignore centuries of tradition.
Become a wolf or not: If only the choice were that simple! Fallon’s options are further clouded by the overt presence of other females desperate to be the Alpha’s mate. And when these bitches get serious, it’s not just claws that come out. If Fallon wants to keep her man and take the title, she’ll have to exert a little dominance of her own.

Very good book.  The story telling really makes you see it from their side, to feel what they are feeling and want to help. The characters are amazing, their personalities really come through to you. They are described so well you can literally picture them in front of you as you read their life's on the pages.

If you are looking for a book filled with werewolves, vampires, fights, sex, and love then get this book for sure. The emotions you will feel..oh my....heat, passion, tears, joy and even laughter they will all come upon you.

I know I cried. You can't help but feel. The story itself just pulls you in. At some parts I was even holding my breathe waiting to find out what would happen.  You will NOT regret getting this book.

A Justified Kill by MaryLynn Bast

Amber will go to any lengths to avoid the werewolf council who hunts her – even leaving behind the one person she cares for the most. Traveling across the US, she avoids other packs and remains on the run by working in backwoods bars.
Always alone, she never gets involved. One day she overhears a conversation by one of the bars patrons. With her senses on high alert, Amber cannot ignore the warning signs. Following the man to his campsite, she finds out why.
Amber must decide if she can allow herself to be drawn in to rescue the person being held hostage. Or should she stick by her rules of not getting involved? With the impending first shift to werewolf, her bloodlust will take over. Can she go against her personal rule of not killing a human, and if so, would it be A Justified Kill?

This was one book that is definitely gonna lead you to want to read the rest.   Find out what Amber goes through in her thoughts, find out the tough decision she has to make all on her own.  She has no pack, she has nobody around for her, and is trying to live her life the best he can with the hand she was dealt.

she comes across something that NEEDS to be dealt with, but what needs to be done weighs on her.  Is it right?  was the result what was wanted or needed?

The writing pulls you in, helps you see through her eyes, think how she thinks.  You will life her life with her if even for a short time.  You will think as she thinks and I guarantee you will come to the same realizations she does.  She hasn't had an easy life, but she is doing the best she can and making it work.

MaryLynn works the characters so well you will feel as if you are them.  You will see through their yes and become one of them.  I highly recommend starting here and working your way through the entire series.  Keep an eye out for more, as I will be reviewing the rest of the series and following along in all their lives.

Tiger's Quest by Colleen Houck

If you haven’t read this series yet, or even the first book, then I say stop everything and go get it.
The series starts off with a young girl named Kelsey Hayes trying to find a job.  She ends up working for a traveling circus and makes friends with the tiger they have there…..and from there it only gets better….

The story involves, magic, tigers, love, romance, death, adventure, monkeys…don’t wanna give away too much but believe me it is so worth the read. The second book goes on for more adventure and romance.

Through this book Kelsey grows into a woman, she learns a lot about life and love
and responsibility.  She goes through so much, and through the rest of the series it only gets deeper and deeper for her.  She must learn to defend herself aswell as her heart.
To fight for who she truly loves and who she really is.  She needs all her strength to complete the tasks they are given while keeping herself and her heart safe.  She learns who to trust, and who is not on her side.

If you want a book filled with love and adventure, deceit and betrayal then this is your book.  If you are looking for a happily ever after book that will have you in tears along the way both happy and sad then I say definitely pick up this series.  I know I loved every minute and every tear.

Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong

Women of the Otherworld By Kelley Armstrong
Author Kelley Armstrong brings us into an amazing world of werewolves, vampires, demons, witches and more in her Women of the Otherworld Series.

The series starts off with the lives of Clayton Danvers, a sexy as all heck werewolf and his Love for a female human named Elena Michael’s. We also meet Clayton`s family in way of his guardian and pack.  Bitten, the first book in the series follows their tale and tells how Elena came to be the only female werewolf and their story, past and present.

From here we follow along into the second book in their lives as they fight werewolves, demons, and more.  The books change as we meet new characters involved in their lives.  In the third book we meet a witch named Paige Winterbourne, and from here the books introduce more characters, more love, more adventure.

As the books progress we meet an assortment of people who are all involved together in their lives.  Together they go through death, love, lose, adventure, and much much more.  As you read each book, you will be pulled further and further into their lives, into their story and you will find it as hard as I did to put it down.  Every time I had to wait for a new book to come out I was going insane not knowing.  I would rush out the day the book hit stores, just so I could find out more about them and what was happening.

Kelley goes into such detail with their lives that you literally feel as if you know them and they are part of you.  Their thoughts become yours, their actions affect you as much as them.  Her writing transports you to a different place as you join in the adventures and fun. She describes everything and everyone in such detail that it gets burned into your mind and you never forget it.

When Thirteen,  the final book in the series came out I was at such a loss….I didn`t know what i was gonna do or how I was gonna fill my days.  I literally cried as the lives of the people I had gotten so close to came to an end for me.

I guess I will just have to wait and see……I heard from a reliable source that the series is being made into a tv show….I`m so excited to see Kelley Armstrong`s dream come to life.  Everyone should  at least go out and read the first book, if you aren`t hooked you need to read more…lol

Hunter's Blood Series by Rue Volley

Welcome to the world of deviant vampires who can never get enough.Vanessa is a tortured soul, or perhaps a tortured immortal. A girl who was turned at the age of 18 and is battling her growing hunger for blood and sexual gratification.Vanessa dreams of ‘Hunter’, the boy who gave her this gift, or perhaps it is a curse. We shall soon find out how hard it is to fight the needs of a vampire who is trying to pretend that humanity still lives in a heart that is no longer beating. This series is graffic in nature, 18+ adult read only with language, sexual situations and violence.

What can I say but….WOW!!!! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but what I got was soooo much more. This series follow’s a vampire named Vanessa and her maker Hunter through all sorts…although usualy beginning and ending in sex. But the way it is writtn has you reading it so closely, it might as well be happening to you.

Rue’s words get you so into the story that you follow with such close attention, you feel what they feel.  I literally finished one book and immediately picked up the next and continued on. Feeling left out now, due to not having the fourth book yet….lol  I am wondering and that is never good for me…lol

The characters are so easy to fall for and you will literally find yourself picking a favorite even though they are all amazing and easy to love. I will be getting the next book shortly I hope as it is driving me not knowing what is happening to Vanessa and Hunter.

If you are into erotica and the paranormal, I highly suggest you get this series and a blanket and stay in alone for the night. You will NOT regret it.

Wingless and Damned by Dawn White

Alexander is the Alpha wolf of the Neuri werewolf tribe, set to destroy anything associated with the dreaded Strigoi. Lea is a magnificent Fae — or so she believed but she soon discovers she may not be after all. With Alexander, Lea’s and basically the worlds fate is in the hands of the mated pair. They must act fast and not just on the revenge they so desperately need. Can their love save us all? As Lea and Alexander’s souls hang in the balance they come to realize we are all a little Damned.

Having been given a reviewers copy of this book to read, I must say I am in my own world. I have always loved Vampires and Werewolves and anything Paranormal, and having them both in such an amazing book made my night.

The book changes from one persons point of view to another's but is done so amazingly, they you know just who it is you are. The characters are easy to follow and love, and the story itself is written so well that you can’t help but follow along and try to guess the outcome.

The writing just flows easily and at no point are you left feeling at a loss. You have everything in one story….werewolves, vampires, blood and gore, love, the fae…..and war. What more could you want. Me personally, I know I am gonna be following this series closely, waiting to get my hands on the next book to calm the cravings. Very well done.

Scarlet Night by Megan J Parker

Zane Murdoch just got a tattoo. The problem is, the tattoos are a magically infused curse that turns him into a raging beast and the only hope he has of curing it is absolving his rage. Seems simple enough until he and his clan are nearly demolished in a powerful attack. Now Zane finds himself involved in a paranormal battle of mystical proportions and breaking the curse may be a bit more challenging than he thought.Serena Vailean is alone in the world and quite frankly that’s how she likes it…At least until she finds a way to bring back her dead lover, Devon Thomas. Unfortunately for her, plans have a nasty way of changing and she finds herself thrust back into the world she’s been trying so desperately to escape. Her only hope is to seek help from the very people she has gone to great lengths to avoid. As an epic battle approaches, Serena and Zane must rely on each other and overcome their personal demons if they plan to survive.Unfortunately, caging a demon makes them all the harder to control.

The first book you have to read is The Lover, it introduces you to 2 of the, main characters Serena(a vampire) and Devon(a human/you’ll see). These two are in love when tragedy strikes. Enter Zane, a sexy vampire/beast who was sent to bring Serena home after her fathers death.
But nothing seems to go easy. The story follows them through getting home, denying feelings, a pissy ghost, a jerk brother and more……lol I found it very entertaining. The sarcasm and smart assed comments between Serena and Zane had me laughing my ass off. I very quickly came to NOT like Keith, and got tired of Devon’s presence.

I was very impressed with the story, it was writen so well that it pulled me in without even realizing it. One minute it was just a story and the next I am in tears over something, yes, literal tears. It was easy to familiarize myself with the characters that’s how much the writer pulls you in with her words.
I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who likes vampires, beasts, drama, romance, fighting, and sarcasm dripping fast…lol I myself cannot wait for more, I just hope it’s not to long.

Crimson Shadow: Noir by Nathan Squiers

Xander Stryker wants to die. Ever since witnessing his mother’s murder at the hands of his abusive stepfather when he was a boy, he has spent every day trying to reach that goal. But every night he’s denied the death he craves. When his eighteenth birthday approaches,an unforeseen chance for change is offered when his life is plunged into chaos and he’s dragged into a supernatural world of vampires and other creatures of darkness. Caught in the depths of this new reality, mysteries of his supernatural lineage begin to unravel and Xander is given the ultimate choice: Continue on with his wretched life or begin a new one as the vampire he was always meant to be.

Unfortunately, the supernatural world can be just as unforgiving and brutal as any other and Xander’s choice is met with disastrous consequences. Now, with the chaos of the new world pressing down on him, his past reemerges and once again threatens to crush him. Will Xander be able to use his new strength to conquer his fears, or will he succumb to his own bloody darkness… …and allow it to finally destroy him.

Well this is one book I will not forget. Reading through it left Shivers, tears, excitement, and yes even laughter. It’s a story about a boy named Xander, who has been through so much in his life from loss, to abuse. He’s been through more then any boy should go through. And yet he keeps going.
Suddenly his life is turned upside down and becomes even more complicated then he ever thought. But he comes out stronger and better for it.  The book takes you on such a journey throughout it all, you see it from so many sides, but they all blend and play each other so well that you can’t help but get pulled in further the more you read. It was so well detailed that your imagination goes wild picturing it all.

The range of emotions you go through and the sights you imagine will definitely leave you craving more, I know I am. I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone who is into great fights and emotional roller coasters, but in a good way.

Magic Murder by Nathan Squiers

The world of magic is unified by a single truth: “The arts have tainted you.”
For one man–a man corrupted by power and driven by a lust to kill–the price of his pursuits for power has become both a reason and a means of destroying lives. As this madman quickly discovers, the potential for murder and maiming are almost infinite when a flick of the wrist or a blink of an eye can rip flesh and snap bones, and the creative means of slaughtering innocents is a blood-red and limitless sky.

With fragmented thoughts and distorted truths festering in the twisted mind of this magical maniac, a sadistic killing spree ensues. As his campaign of carnage takes its toll on a family there seems to be no end to the bloodshed in sight…

… until he finds himself bathed in a Crimson Shadow.

I must say, when I was told this book made someone cry and vomit I didn’t know what to expect.  But remembering that it was written by the Literary Prince of Darkness I knew I was in for a ride.
Not only was it a ride, but this book is so dark, so violent, so full of gore….and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!

It was very well written, you can almost see the blood spatters, and hear the popping bones and the squashing eyes.  My first thought after only the second page, was holy hell this would make a great movie….lol  I know, I myself am and twisted, and most people would probably find this book way too much for them, BUT…If you are a TRUE horror lover, and you live for the gore and violence aspect, then this is the book for you.  The only problem was….it was too short…LOL

The main character’s mind is so dark and twisted that it made me proud to call the literary Prince my friend…lol  It had been SOO long, that I found a true match for my twisted self in the sense of gore and true horror, that I had almost lost hope.

This book is so dark and twisted it was amazing.  The descriptions given were so graphic and filled with ……well I can only call it genius…LOL I only wish it had been longer.

Learn to Love me by Sinead MacDughlas

Despite her secret past, Emily O’Shea was finally living a normal life. There had been some arguments with her husband,Trevor, lately, but no marriage is perfect. At least the column she writes for  the local paper is going well…that is, until one of her interviewees goes missing, and a monster from her past resurfaces.

Within a week Emily’s life spins into chaos. Missing girls, a telephone stalker, murder, a monster, and an intense ex-lover; it’s turning out to be one hell of a summer!

Her husband is acting erratically, her boss is threatening to pull her column, and the police suspect she’s the muse for a murderer. Can Emily save her marriage, her job, her life and her sanity? More importantly, are her darkest fears justified? Does Emily already know who the killer is and, if she does, can she do anything to stop them?

This book was very well written, the characters are so well done you can’t help but fall in love with some, and hate others. For me……..I loved it. I wasn’t overly pleased with the ending…….lol But I understood the reasoning and had it been me the result would have been the same.
It is definitely the type of story that WILL make you stop and think in some parts. Trying to figure it out, wondering about characters actions or reactions, but believe me you will be wrong in some spots lol. While you may think you know the answers, you will soon find out otherwise lol

Me personally, I could not help but get emotionally attached to a few characters. They were just so real to me, so familiar, that I hurt when they hurt, and I felt what they felt. It was just so easy to picture the book as a movie and see it play out as I read it. There was not a single moment when I was even the slightest bit tired and wanted to stop.
This book is worth the money and time. Take my advice, get the book and give it a read, you will NOT regret it.

One night Damien is out of town and Lianna is attacked, he world unravels fast from that night on .  She finds stuff out about her new bf that she never imagined.

This series is FILLED with romance, love, hurt, betrayel, soul mates, fighting, sex, and much more.  I am on the edge waiting for more…I NEED to find out what happens next, where will she be?  who will she be?  who will she be with?  It’s all knawing at me…Must find out.

Birth of The Nyxian by Amanda .R. Browning

Harlow is a twenty six year old woman left alone in the world after her family perishes in a tragic accident. A chance meeting brings Aiden into her life. Aiden is smart, unbelievably sexy, and chivalrous. There’s only one problem, he’s also an 820 year old vampire.
Vampires have split into two factions. Those turned by choice are full evil, without a shred of humanity left and they live to kill and terrify. Those turned by force, like Aiden, are able to retain some of their humanity and do not need to kill to survive.

Despite the danger he brings to her life, Harlow finds everything she’s ever wanted from life with Aiden. Is one lifetime enough for them, or will Harlow be forced to make The Immortal Choice?
This story is about a young woman named Harlow, who is a very unique and wonderful woman on her own.  Works part time, loves first edition books and anything historical.  It’s also about Aiden.  A vampire who has lived generations as a lonely man on the side of good.

The story starts with Harlow stargazing and an unsuspecting Aiden sneaks up on her looking for a drink but instead finds a woman who captivates him, shocks him, and runs her so deep into his heart(if he had one) than any other woman he has ever met vampire and human.
They fall deeper and deeper but also end up in more trouble then they ever imagined. The story has vampires, harpies, gryphons, love and adventure.  Harlow and Aiden must fight for what they believe in and fight for each other.

The story is so well told that I found myself not able to put it down, and got upset whenever I was disturbed…lol  I laughed with them, I cried with them, and yes, at one point I was literally in tears.  The writing is amazing, easy to follow and so well written that you actually think the story could be about you.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves adventure, love and vampires. I am going to go insane waiting for the next installment…..Gosh I hope there is one…LOL
